Anglais, The Natural and Supernatural World B2 ECTS, Semestre S2, ENG-ZIV2-S2 Equipe enseignante: Shawna ZIVKOVICH What sets the supernatural apart from the natural? If ''natural'' is that which can be explained via Western scientific principles and understanding, then ''supernatural'' is a term we often apply to phenomena outside our current comprehension or ability to measure. This course will examine elements of our known natural world — the imperceptible life of plants, unsung capabilities within the animal kingdom, the magnificence of our observable universe — alongside inexplicable occurrences within the realms of magic, mysticism and seemingly superhuman powers. Method Oral presentations by teacher and students, discussions and debates, occasional written work. Outcome Students will have the opportunity to improve their English speaking while thinking and learning about the nature and existence of things known and unknown. Séances de cours:
